Stakeholders Engagement in Bayelsa State
Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) has successfully
concluded a high-level Stakeholders Engagement Meeting held on
October 24, 2025, at Golden Tulip, Bayelsa State Government House,
Yenagoa. The interactive session brought together key community
leaders, representatives of host communities, government
officials, and civil society organizations to strengthen
partnerships and dialogue around pipeline operations, host
community relations, and sustainable development initiatives.
The engagement was part of PINL’s ongoing commitment to fostering
transparent communication and building mutual trust between the
company and its stakeholders in the Niger Delta region.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Akpos Mezeh, General Manager,
Community Relations and Stakeholders Engagement, reaffirmed the
company’s dedication to maintaining operational excellence while
prioritizing the welfare and development of host communities. He
emphasized that continuous dialogue is essential in addressing
community concerns, ensuring environmental safety, and aligning
development projects with local aspirations.

growth. Our approach goes beyond infrastructure, it’s about
empowering people, promoting inclusiveness, and ensuring that
development impacts are felt where it matters most,” Dr. Mezeh
stated.
Participants commended PINL’s open-door policy and its proactive
efforts in maintaining peace and cooperation across its
operational corridors. The meeting also provided a platform to
review progress on ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
initiatives, discuss pipeline protection strategies, and explore
new opportunities for local empowerment and environmental
stewardship, particularly through initiatives such as Scholarship
scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate, Women Entrepreneurs
& Empowerment Program for the Eastern corridor
Communities.
The engagement reaffirmed PINL’s role as a responsible corporate
citizen and a partner in progress for the Niger Delta region. The
company pledged to continue collaborating with all stakeholders to
promote shared prosperity, social stability, and sustainable
development in line with national energy goals.
